Still posting & digging the vibes/suggestions on the strangest, most wonderful band that ever tripped the light fantastic.

Sometimes I think Deadheads are like one of those vanishing languages tribes that will one day just up and cease to be unless we keep things in motion, so this forum at least staves off musical extinction I fear re: The Dead.

Maybe i'm exaggerating the demise, though. i hear there are Satelite radio channels devoted solely to Dead music, DSO seems to be making a living, and SOMEBODY is buying those 'road trip' collections...so what the hey...even if no one's noticed but the band's all packed and gone...(were they ever here at all?) we keep on dancin' ;-)

Grendel- on the notion of the dying language: let's hope that at least the grass roots community that was responsible for getting the band off the ground with probably less folks than Will Tell just named can keep advancing the band one younger member at a time. I see it with my daughters friends and these are pretty savvy smart kids and they at least listen to the Dead on "occasion". Hey its a start/continuum. Here's hoping.
